Why lease through OV1 instead of going to the dealership?
A broker works for you, not the dealership. We use our relationships, market data, and AI-assisted tools to compare dealer programs across Southern California and negotiate the deal for you. It's the same car from the same lot. You get one point of contact from start to finish. There's no dealership pressure, our fee is disclosed up front, and we bring the car to you.
Do you charge a fee, and who pays it?
Yes. OV1 is paid a broker fee, and you'll see it before you sign. California Vehicle Code §11736 requires a broker to tell you the dollar amount of any fee you pay and whether the broker is also paid by the selling dealer, and to confirm both in a written brokering agreement you receive before you sign to buy or lease the car. Our fee is disclosed up front. If the numbers don't work for you, you don't sign. The details are on our fee disclosure page.
Can you get any make or model, or only what's on the specials page?
Any make, any model. The specials page lists the vehicles available to lease this month. If the car you want isn't there, or you want a different trim, color, term, or mileage, send a Request a Car with what you're after and we'll source it. Already have a quote from a dealer? Send it through Beat My Deal and we'll see what we can do.
Do I have to come in to sign or see the car first?
No. We come to you, not the other way around. You tell us what you want, we source and negotiate it, and you approve the numbers before anything is final. Then we deliver the car to your door. You deal with one point of contact, start to finish, from the first message to the handoff at your door.
How fast can this happen?
It depends on two things: whether the car is available and how quickly credit is approved. Some specials are on the lot now. Others are single units, and those move fast, so call if a listing says only one is left. Cars we have to source or order take longer. Tell us your deadline up front and we'll say straight away whether it's realistic.
What does "due at signing" include?
Unless a listing says otherwise, the amount due at signing includes the lender's acquisition fee and applicable fees; the numbers we send you in writing say whether it includes the first monthly payment. On top of that come government fees and taxes, any finance charges, any dealer document processing charge, any electronic filing charge, and any emission testing charge. Ask us for the itemized figure on any car.
What's the difference between "+tax" and "tax incl."?
A payment marked "+tax" excludes sales tax, so your actual monthly payment will be higher once tax is added. Some dealer programs are quoted one way and some the other, so the numbers we send you say which. When you're comparing two cars, compare them on the same basis. If one is +tax and the other is tax incl., the lower number isn't always the cheaper car.
What are loyalty and conquest requirements?
Some manufacturer programs are only open to certain buyers. A loyalty offer usually requires that you currently own or lease the same brand. A conquest offer usually requires that you're coming from a competing brand. Membership offers, such as AAA or Sam's Club, require a current membership. The exact rules vary by program and change month to month. Deals with a qualifier are labeled, and we confirm you qualify before we quote you a final number.
Is the credit application a hard inquiry?
The credit application authorizes a credit check, and credit approval comes from the financing institution. OV1 is not a lender. If you have questions about your credit before you apply, call us first.
Do you only serve Los Angeles?
We're a Los Angeles based brokerage, and we compare dealer programs across Southern California. If you're outside LA, ask anyway. Our quotes are built on Los Angeles County terms, so a quote for another county may look different. We'll tell you before you commit.
